Biotech Glass

The Project:

Redesign and reinstall frosted glass privacy film for a growing biotech company in Center City Philadelphia, after a previous installation failed to meet expectations.

The Challenge:

With the office grand opening just two weeks away, the client needed a fast and accurate solution that would meet both visual and functional requirements.

The Strategy and Creative Solution:

We were brought in by a commercial real estate partner to assess and correct an existing glass privacy film installation for their tenant. The client had previously engaged another graphic and production vendor to work with their original art file, which was an Orion constellation pattern. The artwork was originally provided to the vendor at a 36″ height and was simply scaled up to 46″ for production. This caused line weights and dots to become disproportionately heavy with large gaps and openings in the frosted film. The pattern felt mechanical, repetitive, and did not meet the client’s expectations.

After conducting a site survey, we recreated the artwork specifically for the 46″ height while preserving the intended line weights and dot sizes of the original 36” file We also designed a significantly larger pattern area so the artwork would not have any visible repetition. The reworked design closed excessive openings in the frost and installed consistently across all panels. We expedited production and completed the full installation over two days, allowing us to meet the move-in date.

The Outcome:

The redesigned artwork and precision installation delivered a clean and professional finish. The client was able to move into their new offices on time with privacy film that met both their visual standards and functional needs.
